Condition to agricultural products are exported to Japan?
1. Regarding conditions for trading in agricultural products
First of all, businesses need to comply with the general provisions on food safety stipulated in Article 10 of the Law on Food Safety 2010.
“1. Meet the corresponding technical standards, comply with regulations on disease microorganism limits, pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, heavy metals, pollutants and other substances in Food can cause harm to human health and life.
2. Depending on the type of food, apart from the provisions of Clause 1 of this Article, food must also meet one or a number of the following provisions:
a) Provisions on the use of food additives and processing aids in food production and trading;
b) Regulations on food packaging and labeling;
c) Regulations on food preservation ”.
2. Regarding agricultural export conditions
Procedures for exporting agricultural products to Japan are specified in Article 4 of the Consolidated Document No. 09 / VBHN-BCT of 2017.
“1. Goods exported and imported under permits, traders wishing to export or import must have permits of the concerned ministries and branches.
2. Imported and exported goods must ensure the relevant regulations on quarantine, food safety and quality standards and regulations, and must be subject to inspection by competent agencies before customs clearance.
3. Goods not on the list of goods banned from export, temporarily suspended from export, List of goods banned from import, temporarily suspended from import and goods not falling into the cases prescribed in Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article, only must carry out export and import procedures at the border gate Customs Sub-Departments. ”
